To get to KPL, you must fly to Bogota's El Dorado airport.
Bogota is at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level, temperatures range between 20ºC during the day and 6ºC at night. The area where our Diamond Way center is located is a safe area but being a big city, there is always a risk, here are some recommendations to keep in mind:
At the airport: Keep an eye on your belongings, do not accept help from strangers. When taking a taxi, always use the official taxi service, it is the line of yellow cars. The taxi should not cost more than COP 50,000 (13USD) to the DW Center located on Carrera 6 # 67-76.

When walking around: Do not use your mobile phone on the street, if you need to talk, use hands-free or enter a place to do so. At night, preferably go out with other friends. Do not take a taxi on the street, there are many applications that can transport you like Uber, Cabify…
Our KPL (Karma Palsang Ling) retreat center is located 12km from Villa de Leyva, one of the most touristic towns in the country. Temperatures vary during the day between 22ºC and at night can reach up to 6ºC with a much lower thermal sensation. It is a desert area with little water, however in times of rain these can be of high density, flooding tents and land.
We recommend not storing food in the tents, as there are dogs in the area that can invade the tent and even cause damage.
Please do not give food to the dogs in the area that may arrive, only the people in charge of the cooking team can feed them.
Keep an eye on water consumption. Being a desert area, the water we use is purchased and stored in a tank car.

· If you sleep at KPL or outside, the value of the course is the same. If you stay in a hotel, it will have an additional cost and you will have to make your own arrangements.
· Transportation from LC Bogota - KPL - LC Bogota is additional and is not included in the cost of the event.
· If you decide to arrive a few days earlier to help with the set-up, or stay to help with the dismantling, you are welcome to do so! Please note the dates below. In that case, DO NOT FORGET to write to kpl@diamondway.org to request your stay.
· Staying at KPL for these days will have an additional cost of $70,000 (18USD) per night.
Setup dates for AC: from February 25 and 26.
